It’s a question people have been asking since the beginning of time, “What am I here for?”
If you’ve found yourself asking this question, you’re not alone. Everyone has wondered from time to time what their purpose is and how they can tap into their purpose to live out their full potential. But it can be hard to know exactly how to figure that out.
That’s why we’re sharing three keys to finding your purpose. Just follow these three simple steps and you’ll be on your way to living a more meaningful life.
Remember Your Childhood Passions
When you’re a kid, nothing matters except for having fun. As a kid, you have zero cares in the world and you’re able to tap into the truest version of yourself.
Did you love to draw when you were little? To dig in the dirt? To climb trees with your brothers? Remembering your passions as a kid, as silly as they might seem, will help you determine what your purpose is now.
Journaling Prompt — Write down 3 hobbies you had as a child. Why did you love to do these things? What do they say about your passions and purpose?
Pretend Money Isn’t a Factor
In today’s society, it’s all too easy to get bogged down with the idea of making money. And trust us — we get it. As a Lady Hustler, you want to make money, save money, and scale your business to the business of your dreams. But when it comes to your purpose — it can be hard to figure it out if money is an obstacle.
Take a minute and think about how you would be spending your time if money wasn’t an obstacle. What passion would you invest more time in if you knew it would pay the bills? The answers to these questions will help you determine your purpose in life by identifying what you would really care about if money wasn’t part of the equation.
Journaling Prompt — Write down 3 things that matter most to you in life other than money. What does your list say about your passions and purpose?
Listen to Your Heroes
The third step to finding your purpose is to look to your heroes. Who did you look up to as a kid? Who inspires you today? And what about those people is so important to you?
When you start to realize who your heroes are and what inspires you about them, you’ll be able to figure out what some of your passions are, too.
Journaling Prompt — Write down 3 of your heroes. For each hero, write down what inspires you about them. What do you see recurring on that list? What does this tell you about your passions?
We have to choose our thoughts so carefully, because they attract other similar thoughts.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Know that you have full control over them, especially when you are feeling stressed, tired or angry.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you are aware of how you’re feeling & what you’re thinking, you can ensure that it’s always positive.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When negative thoughts try to creep in, you can stop them in their path.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Take some time today to check in with yourself and consider what thoughts you have been having. Get conscious about it. If you feeling like they’re negative, become aware of this so that when it happens you can take a second to think about something you’re grateful for, or something positive that is going well on your life. Your perspective can completely change your outlook and life.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Figuring out what your true passion is can feel like a daunting process. But the good news is, it isn’t quite as complicated as you might think. When you look at these three keys to finding your purpose and do some deep digging into your heart, you’ll find your purpose and be able to live a more meaningful life, too.
